According to police, Cagle entered the terminal through Door S1 at 9:31 a.m. and remained inside for roughly 20 minutes before being spotted. Officers moved in quickly, arresting him at 9:54 a.m.—less than 15 minutes after receiving the alert.
While Cagle was unarmed during his arrest, officers later discovered an AR-15 rifle in his truck, loaded with one round in the chamber and 26 in the magazine.
Newly released footage shows an officer approaching Cagle and asking, “What are your reasons for being at the airport right now?” Cagle responds, “I got dropped off.” Moments later, the officer identifies him by name and orders, “Put your hands behind your back, sir.” As more officers move in to confirm his identity, Cagle pleads, “Give me my phone… it’s family.”
