Police investigating Friday evening hit-and-run in downtown Toronto

TORONTO — Police say they’re investigating after a vehicle allegedly struck a woman in downtown Toronto. In a news release Saturday, police say they got a call about the collision around 7 p.m. Friday. They say a 36-year-old woman was crossing a street when she was struck. They say the woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police say the vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
