A small plane made an unexpected landing along the shoreline in San Diego’s Mission Beach early this morning.
Officials say the pilot and his daughter were flying near Bird Rock when the aircraft began having engine trouble, prompting a quick decision to head for the sand.
Witnesses described the landing as calm and controlled, calling it a “perfect save.”
Thankfully, both on board — and everyone on the beach — escaped without injury. ✈️🏖️
